TEEN POOL PARTY IDEAS

Pool parties are great fun and make it easy to have a successful coed party. Having a pool party is a great way to hang out with friends for some summer fun. Teens tend to stay in one area, making chaperoning easy. Here we have some more pool party ideas that are bound to make your teen pool party a success.

First decide if the idea is to keep it simple or if a theme is desired. Beach and Hawaiian themes are quite popular choices. Once this is determined, it's time to think about decorations. If the party is going into the night, white lights can be strung across trees and bushes. If the party is going to be in sunlight do add a few sun umbrellas. Party stores have some great styled plastic cups. Add some colorful plastic utensils and a tablecloth that looks summery. Hang fishnets around the edge of the party and fill with shells, crabs and seahorses. Hang blow-up beach balls around the party area.

Food is the most important element of any party. Make sure there enough to eat, hamburgers, hot dogs. barbequed shrimp on a stick for an appetizer are really in trend. Goldfish crackers served in large conch shells, Sandwiches cut with a fish shaped cookie cutter, Jell-O jiggles cut into fish, starfish and shell designs with cookie cutters, Taco or Nacho bar are few innovative food ideas that will be greatly enjoyed. Put out some sliced watermelon and strawberries. Place a couple of coolers out with a variety of soda and bottled water. Consider setting up a smoothie bar or snow cone machine.

The life of the party lies in the music so, don't forget to have some great music playing in the background. Later on during the party, a suggestion is to set up a karaoke machine.

Pool noodles, Water guns, Water balloons, Flip-flops, Sunglasses, Bubbles, Beach balls, Beach towels, Buckets and shovels are great additives to color up the party.

Gather up some water and pool games to play. Octopus, Noodle Joust, Marco Polo, Jump or Dive, Water Tag, Ping Pong Scramble, Soaked Shirt Relay, Watermelon Push Relay, water Freeze Tag, Water Balloon Toss and Crazy Catch are a few games that would be great in a pool party.

Safety rules should be posted and enforced. Fun in the sun and splashing around the pool is great, but you don't need anyone to get hurt. Buy lots of blow up beach balls and float them in the pool. Keep the bugs away by having citronella candles burning around the party area. You could also have bug spray available for your guests to use.

And the most important of all in a teen pool party is to ENJOY so have fun!
